Bankolay Theodore Turay is a PhD candidate at the University of Lagos and a research Teaching assistant/project support officer at the University of Makeni, Sierra Leone. His research and teaching focus on issues of community development, women’s land rights, sustainable development, and land governance reforms particularly on peri-urban settlements in Sierra Leone.
Thesis: Women’s Access to Land for Sustainable Livelihood: Evaluating the Effects of Tenure Conflicts in Peri-Urban Settlements in Sierra Leone. Case Studies in Western Area Rural District and Bombali District.
